hey guys Chris fix here I need to replace the tires on this car but we have a major problem you can see we have a locking lug nut and I do not have the key so how do you remove this without a key well there is a toolkit for that so let me show you how it works first grab the centering guide and place it in the hole where the lug bolt sits then use the provided drill bit with the hardened tip and the centering guide centers that drill bit so you could drill a hole directly in the middle of that lug bolt now once you drill into the lug Bowl about a half an inch then we can remove the guide and you can see the hole is centered but we have all these metal shavings so vacuum the shavings out to prevent damage to the wheel then grab the extractor tool which you can see as hardened ridges running the length of the shaft and push that tool inside the hole and place the driver over the extractor and Hammer that extractor bit as deep into the hole as you can until it bottoms out then get a torque wrench set to 110 foot-pounds and loosen the extractor without clicking the torque wrench beautiful and with that broken loose now we can remove it the rest of the way by hand and this extractor bit is reusable it just has to be removed from the lug bolt so that's how you remove a locking lug bolt without damaging the wheels
