This viral GitHub repo shows you exactly
where your Claude code tokens are
getting burned and how to save them.
It's called Code Burn. It's open source,
MIT licensed, and it's blowing up
because it solves a very real problem.
Today, a lot of developers use tools
like Claude Code, but most people don't
actually know where their AI usage is
going. You just run one command and it
opens a clean dashboard inside your
terminal. In simple words, it gives you
a full report of your AI coding usage.
It shows you which project is using the
most tokens, which AI model is costing
you the most, and what type of work is
consuming your tokens. The best part is
that it works locally. That means codeb
burn reads your AI coding session data
from your own computer. Your data stays
on your machine. But the most
interesting feature is called oneshot
rate. Oneshot rate means how often the
AI gets the task right in the first
attempt. For example, you ask Claude to
fix a bug. If Claude fixes it correctly
in one try, that is a good oneshot rate.
This is why code burn is useful. So if
you use Claude code or any AI coding
agent, this is one repo you should
definitely check out. comment burn and
I'll send you the link.
