Today we're trying supposedly the best
Indian food in the whole of Manchester.
This is Mugli. You walk in and see this
charcoal pit in the middle of the
restaurant. These guys are grilling meat
and make a nunch like they're on center
stage at the theater. To start, we
ordered the world famous sizzling mix
grill. I love the smokiness. And just
look at that drizzle of ghee. Oh my god.
There's lamb, there's chicken, there's
prawns, and when you dip the lamb into
the mint sauce, that is a marriage you
do not want to mess with. Everything was
top tier. And I love those caramelized
edges from the charcoal. But my favorite
bite were these scorpion prawns. They're
marinated in tandoori masala and then
hit with garlic oil. I tell you what, it
was a good job I was sitting down for
this bite of food cuz I started to go
weak at the knees. Next up, we've got
the leopard roll. The seat kebab is hit
with mango chutney and then it's rolled
up in a freshlymade chapati. It's then
finally crisped up and painted with
ghee. Behave yourself. This is
ridiculous. The chapati absorbs all the
fat and I love the sweetness of the
mango chutney. However, £10 for one I
think is quite expensive. And finally,
the butter chicken which is made fresh
in these huge pots every single day. The
chicken inside the curry was so tender
and I paired it with this stuffed chili
naan which was full of cheese. A cheese
ball in an Indian restaurant that should
be illegal. This bite of food is what
dreams are made
of. I'm not joking. That actually might
be the best butter chicken I've ever had
in my life. It's incredible. And
we finished the meal off with a cookie.
It's time for a nap, I think. If you
can't take a date to Kamate, enjoy.
