so a customer bought a $32,000 longa watch on our eBay page it's on its way to eBay authenticator but then we get a message from him and he said hey I forgot to use my eBay discount code it would have saved me $700 I just want to cancel the transaction so I reached out to him and I fat out said forget about the discount code I'm going to refund you $700 and he says I see that you're a small business I don't feel right having you send me $700 out of your pocket but what if you send me a $700 piece of jewelry that way it costs you a little bit less I can give something to my wife and we'll all be happy with the situation so I picked out this beautiful aquamarine and diamond ring to send him his wife absolutely loved it he called back and he said he had such a good experience that he wants to buy something else from us and he said that he's always wanted this PCH Philip gondolo Day date in white gold I gave him a quote he didn't negotiate he said okay that sounds fair I'll take it this was definitely a positive experience for us and the customer as well
