Boston-based Ms. Gross will lead a dedicated construction practice focused on midsize and large construction companies. The unit brings together Liberty Mutual’s construction expertise under a single leader and will provide coordinated, specialized expertise, Global Risk Solutions North America President Marc Orloff said in a statement. It will work closely with Liberty Mutual’s global infrastructure solutions business that focuses on domestic highway, renewable energy, data center and other large projects. Ms. Gross previously was global private equity practice leader, where she built the business into a platform generating over $2 billion in premium, Liberty Mutual said. A successor to Ms. Gross as global private equity practice leader will be named later, the insurer said. Ms. Gross reports to Dieter Korte, president, middle market, Global Risk Solutions, North America.
