Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Logistiq , a freight cargo insurance agency with about 24 employees, is based in Redondo Beach, California. Leadership from Logistiq and Anova will remain in place, SPG said in a statement. The integration consolidates marine cargo, transportation, logistics and digital underwriting expertise under SPG’s cargo and logistics platform. The combined operation will offer coverage to freight forwarders, third-party logistics providers and motor carriers. Expanded coverage available includes all-risk ocean and domestic cargo insurance, stock throughput and open cargo policies, logistics operator liability with full underwriting authority for up to $50 million within 24 hours, and licensing and surety bonds. SPG is the wholesale and underwriting unit of Hub International.
