Ms. Simeone, who will be based in New York, will report to incoming U.S. CEO Nadine Moore and Group Chief Risk Officer Sheldon Lacy. She will also join the U.S. executive committee. Ms. Moore is set to join Canopius in September. Ms. Simeone most recently was senior risk manager for North America at Beazley, where she oversaw financial, operational and regulatory risks for its North American and Bermuda operations. Serena Lee previously held a combined role as U.S. general counsel and chief risk officer at Canopius. Ms. Lee remains U.S. general counsel. The insurer separated its risk and legal functions as part of a broader restructuring. Ms. Simeone is also vice chair of the enterprise risk management committee at the American Property Casualty Insurance Association.
