Ms. Smallcombe will report to Matt Kramer, CEO of Ascot U.S. She succeeds Jesse Paulson, who was named chief operating officer, U.S., last year. Chicago-based Ms. Smallcombe previously was national casualty director in CRC’s commercial solutions division. Before that, she was senior vice president and head of construction at Argo Group U.S. She previously held senior casualty and industry practice group leadership roles at Swiss Re Corporate Solutions and American International Group.
