Instead of lost balls and broken clubheads, they found what appears to be a wine cellar dating back to the original manor house on the site, the club reported on its Instagram page. “Over 100 years old and filled with historic wine and port bottles — what an incredible piece of our club’s history!” the club said. Some of the club’s more discerning members may also think they’ve come across the ultimate beverage cart.
