Houston-based Mr. Baron will report to Tracey Hunt, global head of energy and marine within Zurich’s global specialty business. He will oversee the technical and strategic direction of Zurich’s U.S. energy business, including property and casualty coverage for the oil and gas, petrochemical, natural resources, mining, power generation, utilities and renewable energy sectors. Mr. Baron most recently was head of energy for AIG’s South region. Before that, he was director of property at Phillips 66 and previously held various roles at Swiss Re, CNA and Aon Risk Services.
