Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Florida-based Jupiter specializes in admitted umbrella and follow-form excess liability, Doxa said in a statement. It was founded in 2019 by David Folkes and Dennis Burton and focuses on various sectors, including contractors, hospitality, real estate, import/export, light manufacturing and fabrication, and oil and gas specialty contractors. Both founders will remain in their positions “leading the Jupiter Underwriting Group with Doxa and offering strategic support,” the statement said. All other Jupiter employees will also stay with Doxa, a spokesman said in an email. Doxa Insurance Holdings was formed in 2016 as a holding company and acquisition vehicle for managing general agents.
