Insurance Times looks at how managers are doing in the Insurance Times Fantasy Football league
Fantasy Football returns for gameweek seven this weekend, with managers having until 11am on 17 October 2026 to sort out their squads.
Ahead of the next round of fixtures getting underway, Insurance Times looks at how managers are doing in the Insurance Times Fantasy Football league.
Jamie Fletcher leads the way on 476 points, while Nick Francis is a close second on 473 points.
Meanwhile, Ben Iwanowytsch sits third on 470 points, while Paul McNally is fourth on 466 points. Across the top 10, the gap is just 24 points, so this is turning out to be a very close season!
Sadly, those of us from Insurance Times are nowhere close to the top 10. News editor James Cowen leads the way in our own league on 373 points and that is just over 100 points off the leader in the Insurance Times league.
Triple captain Haaland?
This week, managers may choose to captain Manchester City’s Erling Haaland, who faces newley promoted Ipswich Town.
According to the official Fantasy Football page, Ipswich are without a clean sheet this season and have conceded eight goals across their three away matches.
So Haaland could be a very good choice and it might even be worth playing the triple captain chip if you still have it available.
