Umbrella liability saw the largest increase at 8.3%, but that was down from 8.8% in March. In other lines, property rates rose 6.2%, increasing fractionally from March; business owners policies were up 6.4%, down from a 6.5% hike; general liability rates rose 5.7%, down from 6.6% in March; and auto liability rates rose 5.2%, up from 5.1%. The only line to see a decrease was workers compensation, down 1.4% compared with a 1.6% fall during the prior month.
