Chief Financial Officer Bernadetta Scholz was also appointed to the additional role of chief operating officer. Mr. Baillie, who joined Liberty in 2014 as a producer, previously held several leadership roles, including managing partner, chief strategy officer, chief operating officer and, most recently, president of strategic growth. Ms. Scholz joined Liberty in 2021 as chief accounting officer and was promoted to chief financial officer in 2022. In her expanded role, she will continue to oversee Liberty’s financial strategy while assuming responsibility for day-to-day operations across the organization. Mr. Jadon, who previously was chief operating officer and joined Liberty in 2022 as chief innovation officer, was appointed to the newly created role of chief AI officer. He will focus on the brokerage’s use of artificial intelligence to support client service, producer operations and business processes, Liberty said in a statement. “Artificial intelligence will play an important role in the future of our business, but success will depend on how thoughtfully we apply it,” Liberty Chairman, Founder and CEO Bill Johnson said in the statement. The appointments are intended to strengthen Liberty’s executive leadership team as the brokerage continues to expand nationally. Los Angeles-based Liberty, with more than 80 offices nationwide, is the 39 th -largest broker of U.S. business, according to the latest Business Insurance rankings .
