The Boston-based contractor was part of a Zurich-sponsored pilot project last year in which Arrowsight placed cameras at New York construction sites, recorded workers performing hazardous tasks, and sent short videos the next day to safety meetings showing safe and dangerous behavior. “Suffolk saw approximately four times fewer claims and 10 times lower incurred losses on our projects in this pilot,” said Doug Ware, senior vice president, risk management for Suffolk, in a statement. The cameras are compulsory for Zurich construction policyholders in New York, a jurisdiction widely seen as challenging for construction insurers.
