The program provides property, equipment breakdown, inland marine, general liability, excess liability, non-owned and hired auto and crime coverages and is available on both an admitted and non-admitted basis. Available limits include general liability of $1 million per occurrence/$2 million aggregate; excess liability of up to $5 million/$5 million; equipment breakdown coverage of $1 million/$1 million; inland marine coverage of $100,000 for any one item and $750,000 per location; and crime coverage of $250,000. Property damage, vandalism, theft, sale and disposal liability, and construction-related risks have increased as demand for self-storage facilities has grown, with the sector now comprising more than 2.1 billion square feet in the U.S. and about one in three Americans renting a storage unit, according to Amwins. The program is backed by an A.M. Best A-rated insurer, Amwins said.
