London-based Sonia Caamaño, who previously led Howden’s international growth markets division, was named CEO, Latin America and Caribbean, reporting to Mr. Parrish. “Sonia will be supported by José Ignacio Lathrop, when he takes up his position as executive chairman, Latin America,” Howden said in a statement. Like Mr. Parrish, Mr. Lathrop recently joined Howden from Marsh. He is based in Santiago, Chile. In addition, Howden’s Middle East and Africa business, including in the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and Tanzania, will be merged into its European business to create a Europe, Middle East and Africa broking region, the company said. London-based Luigi Sturani was named CEO EMEA. Previously, he was CEO, Europe. Richard Mockett, Dubai-based CEO, MEA, will report to Mr. Sturani. Howden India has been merged into the brokerage’s Asia region, led by Hong Kong-based Rohan Bhappu.
