He will be responsible for leading the strategy and growth for the surety business in this newly created position, MSIG said in a statement. Mr. Dougherty will report to Dan Riordan, head of political risk and trade credit for MSIG USA. Most recently, Mr. Dougherty served as senior director of surety at Willis Towers Watson . Prior to Willis Towers Watson, he was head of commercial bond at Axa XL. He also worked at Nationwide Mutual Surety and Liberty Mutual Surety.
