Mr. Mahoney will share leadership of Aon’s U.S. operations with Jerry Ferreira, who was appointed U.S. co-head in April and will continue in the role while remaining South region leader. Mr. Mahoney will also join Aon’s executive committee while continuing to serve on its North America executive committee. Previously, Mr. Mahoney was the brokerage’s U.S. chief commercial officer. During his 15 years with the brokerage, he has also served as head of commercial risk sales for North America and West region leader. He will remain chief commercial officer until a successor is named. Ms. Williams was named U.S. co-head alongside Mr. Ferreira in April but is leaving to join AIG on Sept. 1 in the newly created role of global head of client and broker relationships.
