With eTrading rapidly evolving, Insurance Times has carried out a webinar exploring what is happening in the fast changing area that is central to the industry’s future in association with Zurich UK. The webinar, hosted yesterday (19 July 2023), looked at a variety of topics, including why brokers use both broker management systems and extranets as well as how insurers and software houses can improve referral speed. It came following the launch of Insurance Times’ annual eTrading survey, which rated trading through broker software platforms or via extranets from feedback of more than 1,000 brokers. Insurance Times’ head of research Savan Shah hosted the webinar. He was joined by industry experts Will Edwards, head of SME at Zurich, Simon De Ferry, head of insurance products at Acturis Limited and David Haddock, head of digital insurer partnerships at Ardonagh Advisory.
