Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Sands Point will use Launch Environmental, a provider of environmental general liability insurance solutions focused on complex risks across the energy, infrastructure, construction, chemical, and industrial sectors, to anchor its environmental practice, the managing general agent platform said in a statement. The acquisition is Sands Point’s largest to date and brings its combined gross written premium above $250 million, the statement said. Dennis Kearns, CEO of Sands Point Risk, called the deal “transformative,” in the statement.
