Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Dallas-based SCIS is a managing general agent specializing in hard-to-place monoline workers compensation insurance, with a focus on middle-market employers, ANV said. The company wrote about $250 million in gross written premium in 2025 and has a portfolio spanning industries including construction, manufacturing, health care and temporary staffing. SCIS, founded in 2007, has 20 employees and is led by Executive Vice President Steve Math, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Underwriting Officer Alan Wynn, Senior Vice President of Underwriting Matthew Feury, and Senior Vice President and Field Underwriting Officer Mike Beck. ANV said the acquisition expands its U.S. specialty insurance capabilities and adds to its workers compensation platform. SCIS will join Risico, ANV’s California-based agricultural workers compensation MGA, as part of ANV’s strategy to build a broader U.S. workers comp business across program underwriting, wholesale distribution and specialty niches. ANV is a global insurance intermediary platform operating in the United States, United Kingdom and Europe.
