The brokerage said it has hired an executive search firm to consider internal and external candidates for a permanent successor. Mr. Reese will remain with Aon as a senior adviser to President and CEO Greg Case through Aug. 16, 2027, to assist with the transition, according to an Aon statement. Mr. Reese joined Aon in July 2024 and became CFO later that month, succeeding longtime finance chief Christa Davies, who had announced plans to step down after 16 years in the role. Before joining Aon, Mr. Reese was CFO of financial technology company Broadridge Financial Solutions, where he had worked since 2020. He previously held senior finance positions at American Express, Merrill Lynch and Smith Barney. Mr. Virani previously served as head of corporate planning and analytics at Broadridge and spent 18 years at American Express. His roles included responsibility for international and U.S. lending, loyalty, insurance and merchant pricing businesses. Aon did not give more detail on a reason for Mr. Reese’s departure. The brokerage also reaffirmed its full-year 2026 financial guidance, which it issued with its second-quarter results on July 29.
