Berkley , Willis Towers Watson Jun 23, 2026 HDI Global US announced Tuesday that Jim Clark stepped down as CEO, effective immediately, and that former W.R. Berkley executive Shadi Albert will succeed him as CEO, effective July 13. Dr. York von Falkenhayn, head of market management USA, has been appointed interim CEO until Mr. Albert assumes the role. All appointments are subject to regulatory approval. Mr. Albert most recently was president of W.R. Berkley unit Vela Insurance Services. He previously was president of Berkley Luxury Group and earlier held senior roles at Aon, Marsh and Willis Towers Watson. The leadership changes are part of a reorganization of HDI Global’s U.S. operations under its Xcelerate29 strategy, which focuses on U.S. market growth and bringing underwriting, claims and service teams closer to brokers and clients, the insurer said in a statement. Mr. Clark had been with HDI for 23 years and played a key role in establishing its U.S. operations, the insurer said.
