The policy is structured as a contractor-controlled insurance program combining workers compensation and general liability, the Morristown, N.J.-based insurers said in a statement. The coverage is aimed at larger commercial development projects, including for health care, higher education, general building and infrastructure, technology, data centers and warehouses, manufacturing, and pharmaceuticals, Crum & Forster said. Projects with $250 million or more in construction value and projects with $50 million or more in payroll are eligible for coverage, according to the product fact sheet. The coverage provides uniform coverage and limits for enrolled contractors and subcontractors; loss prevention services; claims handling, managed care, disability management and return-to-work programs; and access to additional construction-related coverages, including builders risk and subcontractor default insurance, the insurer said. Coverage is available on a single-site or rolling project basis, the statement said.
