Lockton Companies, LLC et al. The complaint alleges that the resignations, which began at 8:02 a.m. and ended by 8:46 a.m., were planned in advance so the employees could immediately begin soliciting WTW’s clients on Lockton’s behalf, in violation of nonsolicitation agreements most had signed. None gave the 15 days’ written notice their contracts required, says the complaint, filed in Suffolk County Superior Court in Massachusetts. Michael George Scott, who led the construction team’s New England region alongside Thomas Grandmaison, is accused of breaching his fiduciary duty by secretly planning the departure while negotiating a new pay package with WTW. The remaining defendants live across Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania and Alabama. Two employees, Wendysue Ash and Richard Scott, allegedly accessed WTW’s internal client files hours after resigning, the brokerage alleges. William Darrin, of Marblehead, Massachusetts, is separately accused of failing to repay a $98,000 signing bonus he owed if he left within five years. Lockton, headquartered in Kansas City, Missouri, operates a Boston office named in the suit. WTW’s affected entities are incorporated in New York, Tennessee and Ohio, with a Boston office central to the dispute. The complaint seeks a temporary restraining order, preliminary and permanent injunctions, disgorgement of compensation, and compensatory and punitive damages. Lockton declined to comment.
