Marsh Nexus operates through Mangrove, the brokerage’s District of Columbia-domiciled protected cell company, and targets organizations with more than $3 million in annual employee benefits spending outside the U.S. The structure is intended to provide access to captive risk-financing arrangements while reducing the administrative requirements associated with establishing a single-parent captive, according to a Marsh statement. More than 140 companies now use captives for international employee benefits programs, with more than $3 billion in premium, Marsh said. The launch comes as employer-provided health plans face projected double-digit increases in health benefit costs across most markets, according to Marsh’s Health Trends 2026 report.
