But the case quietly disappeared this week, with no explanation from plaintiffs’ attorneys, according to media reports. The company, for its part, said it remains confident its labels are accurate. At the center of the dispute was a low-calorie fat substitute, esterified propoxylated glycerol, or EPG, which isn’t fully digested — meaning the calorie count reflects what the body absorbs, not what’s technically in the bar, according to a report on NBC News.
