KatRisk, a provider of catastrophic risk modelling software for the insurance and financial services industries, has announced the appointment of David Vicary as International Product Lead. In his new role, Vicary will help drive KatRisk’s technology solutions arm and support the continued development of its product suite and partnerships. He brings experience across the Lloyd’s market, with roles spanning catastrophe modelling, research and development, exposure management and emerging technologies, alongside a deep understanding of the severe convective storm peril. Vicary joins KatRisk from Renew Risk, where he served as Technical Product Lead II and Head of Solar. Prior to that, he spent almost a decade at Brit Insurance, most recently serving as Research and Development Manager, where he focused on developing the business’s catastrophe risk knowledge and implementing emerging technologies to support commercial operations. Earlier in his career, Vicary held roles at Talbot Underwriting and Sagicor Life Insurance Company USA.
