Jonathan Ogilvie was named global head of non-marine specialties and Chris Dart was named head of treaty reinsurance, Bermuda. Mr. Ogilvie most recently was head of property retrocession in Bermuda at Guy Carpenter, the reinsurance brokerage arm of Marsh. Before that, he held management positions in Guy Carpenter’s London operations across property, specialty and casualty lines. Mr. Dart most recently was managing director and head of property treaty Bermuda at Guy Carpenter. Before that, he was a senior broker at John B. Collins & Associates in Bermuda. The appointments are part of a series of recent hires from Guy Carpenter. Willis Re on Thursday named John Fletcher, formerly CEO of Bermuda at Guy Carpenter, CEO of Willis Re Bermuda. Earlier in the week , it named Jim Summers, formerly a deputy CEO at Guy Carpenter, CEO of global specialties. Mr. Fletcher and Mr. Summers were named in a lawsuit Guy Carpenter filed against Willis over alleged poaching. Willis Towers Watson launched Willis Re through a joint venture with Bain Capital in 2024.
