Mr. MacLean succeeds Jim Shevlin, who is retiring after 24 years with the insurer. In his new role, Mr. MacLean will have responsibility for ESIS’ profit and loss performance and will oversee product development, customer service, relationship management and sales strategy. He will report to Matt Merna, senior vice president, Chubb Group, and division president, North America major accounts. Mr. MacLean has more than 20 years of industry experience, with a background in workers compensation and claims management. Most recently, he served as CEO of CompIQ Solutions, where he led the organization through a period of growth and operational expansion.
