Mr. Gress will lead HDI operations including technology and data enablement, transformation, product development and talent management, the insurer said in a statement. He was most recently COO – insurance for Vantage Risk Cos. and was with Axa XL, a division of Axa SA, prior to that. The move is “part of its strategic repositioning in the United States under the Xcelerate29 strategy,” HDI said in the statement. Mr. Gress is also a 2018 Business Insurance Break Out Award honoree. HDI last week named a new U.S CEO.
