Mr. Rafferty, who joined Aon in 2007, was named Chicago market leader in 2024. Steven Carleton, currently Aon’s Midwest regional sales leader, will succeed Mr. Rafferty as Chicago market leader. Mr. Carleton joined the brokerage in 2011. Aon agreed in August to buy USI . The deal comes about 18 months after it announced its $13 billion acquisition of NFP.
