Cyber insurer Coalition on Tuesday launched a private equity practice and coverage designed for private equity firms, sponsors, general partners and their portfolio companies. New York-based Marcin Weryk, head of Northeast and Central regions for Coalition, has been tapped to head the new practice as private equity practice leader. Coverage can be written to fit client firm strategy, including master programs where available, and can include optional technology errors and omissions and miscellaneous professional liability endorsements, Coalition said in a release. Insureds get a cyber risk dashboard to monitor risk and services including incident response planning from Coalition’s Incident Response unit. Coalition also offers a free 90-day trial of its automated Wirespeed Managed Detection and Response service, which can qualify clients for premium credits and “exclusive” pricing on Security Awareness Training from the insurer’s Coalition Security unit. The coverage and services are available to eligible organizations in North America with plans to expand availability internationally, the insurer said in a statement.
