Bermuda-based reinsurer PartnerRe has announced the appointment of Ankur Gupta as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of its India operation. Gupta brings more than 20 years of industry experience spanning reinsurance, primary insurance and broking. He joins PartnerRe after nine years at Munich Re, where he most recently served as Head of Client Management, Munich Re India. Prior to that, he held several senior leadership roles at ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company, most recently serving as Vice President, International Business Group. Commenting on Gupta’s appointment, Sasa Hu, CEO APAC P&C, said, “I’m pleased to have a leader of his caliber strengthen our support to clients and partners in India.”
