According to a filing this week in federal court in Baltimore, the companies agreed to dismiss RCM&D Inc. v. Alliant Insurance Services Inc., with each paying its own fees and costs. RCM&D sued Alliant in December, alleging that five surety brokers who previously worked in its Maryland operations took confidential information when they left and that several clients moved to Alliant. Alliant argued that the restrictive covenants in the brokers’ employment contracts were overly broad and that the brokers had not taken proprietary information.
