Mr. Rattner was most recently executive vice president and chief underwriting officer, insurance. He joined Fortegra in September 2016, the insurer said in a statement. Prior to that, he rose to senior vice president with Houston International Insurance Group after serving as chairman and CEO of Terrapin Capital Holdings. The title of Fortegra president was previously held by Chairman and CEO Rick Kahlbaugh. South Korea’s DB Insurance announced last year that it would acquire Fortegra from U.S. investment manager Tiptree for $1.65 billion. DB said June 1 the deal had been completed. Mr. Rattner has been “central to building Fortegra into the company it is today,” Mr. Kahlbaugh said in the statement.
