Gallagher & Co. , AssuredPartners Feb 2, 2026 Third Wave Insurance, a commercial retail brokerage led by former AssuredPartners executive Brian Bair, has acquired Atlanta-based Palmer & Cay and will pursue more deals alongside organic expansion. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Third Wave is backed by San Francisco-based asset manager TPG. Palmer & Cay, which traces its roots back 150 years, will continue to operate under its own name and be led by Jack Cay. Mr. Bair was previously retail president, East, for AssuredPartners, which Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. purchased last year.
