He succeeds Julie Dillman, who is retiring on April 2. Previously, Mr. Iyer was North America chair for Boston Consulting Group’s technology design and build unit. He will report to Chubb Chairman and CEO Evan Greenberg. Mr. Iyer will “continue advancing the company’s transformation into a digitally integrated organization across its underwriting, sales and service operations globally,” a Chubb statement said. In a December investor presentation, Chubb stated that over the next three to four years, it expects to cut headcount by approximately 20% due to the adoption of new technology and 85% of major underwriting and claims processes will be automated.
