Ascot Group Limited, a specialty reinsurance company, has confirmed the appointment of Joseph Eppers as Group Chief Investment Officer and as a member of its Global Executive Committee. The company said the appointment forms part of its continued development of senior leadership across its international investment operations. Within Ascot Group Limited, Eppers will be responsible for setting and overseeing the group’s global investment approach and managing its investment portfolio. He will work alongside the leadership team to support Ascot’s long-term business objectives and maintain a strong balance sheet position. He will report to Mark Wilcox, Chief Financial Officer of Ascot Group Limited. He most recently held the role of Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer at Selective Insurance, where he was responsible for investment strategy and portfolio management. Before that, he worked as a Director within the Financial Institutions Group at BlackRock, where he delivered tailored investment solutions for insurance and other institutional clients. Earlier in his career, he served as Senior Vice President of Investments at Endurance Specialty Holdings, Inc.
