Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM), part of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, has appointed Kevin Demmon to the newly created role of Property Divisional Director, effective March 19th, 2026. In the new role, Demmon is based in London and reports to Henry Nelson, Chief Underwriting Officer and Active Underwriter, UK and MENA. He assumes the responsibility for the UK Commercial and D&F International portfolios, and will run the integrated business unit, overseeing the development and delivery of the underwriting strategy. Additionally, Demmon will manage the strategic goals for Liberty’s UK and MENA property divisions. Most recently, he served at Everest as International Head of Property, overseeing a portfolio of global retail and wholesale businesses. Demmon has over two decades of London market experience and has previously held roles at RSA, Swiss Re, XL Insurance, and Zurich. Nelson commented on the appointment, “We are delighted to welcome Kevin to the team and look forward to seeing him develop and establish this new position. “His wealth of knowledge in the London market will be invaluable in providing direction and priorities as Liberty expands and strengthens its international property offering.”
