The Power Lifecycle Program provides coverage from construction through operations and is backed by a lead panel of London insurers, Aon said in a statement. The program offers erection all risks and delay-in-startup coverage during construction, testing and commissioning, and property damage and business interruption coverage once a project begins operations. It also provides up to $100 million in third-party liability coverage for construction and operations outside the United States, Aon said. The program is available to power infrastructure developers, private equity firms, contractors and infrastructure owners. It covers grid-connected gas power projects as well as dedicated generation facilities that support data centers.
