He succeeds Janice Kowell, who had held the role since 2023, as part of a planned leadership transition. Ms. Kowell will remain on the senior executive team and continue to support the practice’s strategic priorities and key client relationships, said Michael Pellegrini, head of specialty for the U.S. and Canada for Marsh Risk. Mr. Brito, who is based in New York, will report to Mr. Pellegrini. Mr. Brito joined Marsh in 2012 and most recently was marine, cargo and logistics practice leader for Canada and the U.S. East zone for Marsh Risk. He was a 2024 Business Insurance Break Out Award winner .
