He replaces John Johnson, who is leaving the company. Mr. Ashby will lead the U.S. business from New York, reporting to Richard Clapham, CEO, Dual Group. Mr. Ashby previously was chief commercial officer at Axis. Before that, he held various leadership roles at QBE, including head of global distribution, North America and head of credit and surety. Dual North America has 500 employees and last year wrote $1 billion in gross written premium. Dual Group was established in 1998 and has over 1,750 employees in 21 countries across the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific.
