Fifty-four percent of respondents reported that D&O rates remained within 10% of the previous year. 30% saw a decrease of between 10% and 30%, while 10% saw a rate reduction of more than 30%. Only 6% reported an increase of more than 10%. The steepest reductions were in the materials, consumer discretionary and industrial sectors, according to Baldwin, a Tampa-based brokerage. Health care and technology companies continued to face the highest premiums and retentions due to higher securities litigation exposure, the report found. D&O rates have been steadily declining since a peak in 2022. Many companies are increasing D&O limits as pricing has softened, the report said.
