He succeeds Dewey Gantz who will transition to senior financial adviser, Church Mutual said in a statement. Mr. Kim most recently was head of performance and planning management at Cover-More Group, Zurich’s travel insurance and assistance unit. Before that, he was CFO of Zurich’s Japan property and casualty business. Based in Madison, Wisconsin, Mr. Kim will report to Alan Ogilvie, Church Mutual president and CEO. In addition, Tracy Schmeltzer has been promoted to vice president, religious markets underwriting, Church Mutual said. Ms. Schmeltzer previously was assistant vice president for camps, agency and groups. Elisabeth Aleman was named assistant vice president of nonprofit and recreation markets underwriting. She will oversee the insurer’s newly combined nonprofit and recreation business.
