The coverage provides dedicated property insurance for small to midsize U.S.-domiciled businesses including industrial organic chemicals, petrochemicals, natural gas transmission and storage, terminals, gas processing, and midstream and downstream operations, Markel said in a statement. The policy provides coverage for property damage, business interruption and equipment breakdown on selected risks. Limits of up to $50 million on both a primary and excess-of-loss basis are available, the statement said. Ms. Walker was most recently senior director, first party lead – West region, for Markel. She joined the company in 2015. The insurer also named former Tomorrow RNG executive Michael McClain as senior underwriter – energy. He was most recently manager of technical operations there.
