Gallagher & Co. Mar 9, 2026 Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. on Monday said that Risk Placement Services, its U.S. wholesale brokerage, binding authority and programs division, has acquired S Philips Surety & Insurance Services. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Agoura Hills, California-based S Philips provides surety bonds to West Coast brokers in addition to commercial property, auto and other coverages. The firm has “about five employees,” according to an email from a spokesperson. All will remain at their current location under Jeremy Crawford, head of surety bond operations for RPS. The deal expands RPS product offerings in the region, J. Patrick Gallagher Jr., chairman and CEO, said in a statement.
