The additional capacity expands the MGA’s line size and allows it to offer broader coverage terms and deductible options for autotransporter operators. It also expands its target segment to larger specialty fleet operations, Rokstone said. The program separates motor truck cargo and vehicle physical damage coverages from auto liability and provides underwriting and claims handling tailored to autotransporters. Autotransporters are technologically advanced trucking operations with higher coverage limit requirements and typically lower loss frequencies than traditional trucking companies, Rokstone said. “Adding this new capacity is critical as inflation and technology improvements are causing vehicle costs to rise exponentially,” Mike Nukk, head of marine at Rokstone, said in the statement.
