Atrium, a specialty insurer at Lloyd’s, has announced the appointment of Chris Baker as Head of Specialty Reinsurance. Baker will join Atrium in July 2027, following the completion of his contractual obligations, and will underwrite for the 2028 Year of Account. In his new role, he will develop Atrium’s specialty reinsurance portfolio, in line with its five-year transformation strategy. Baker brings 22 years of industry experience, joining Atrium from Chaucer, where he currently serves as Head of Global Reinsurance and is responsible for almost $2 billion in premium.
